The Indian automotive accessories market can be difficult to navigate, especially when you are investing in premium 4x4 equipment.
A winch may arrive without proper warranty documentation. A suspension kit may be sourced through an unverified channel and turn out to be incorrect for your specific vehicle, year or variant. A battery may be advertised as AGM when it is not. A seller may claim to be an authorised dealer for a brand without actually having an official relationship with the manufacturer.
These problems often become apparent only after something goes wrong. By then, the seller may be difficult to reach, the warranty may be difficult to enforce, and the customer may be left carrying the repair or replacement cost.
This page explains exactly how Swastik Fabs operates — what we do, what we do not do, and why the source of your 4x4 equipment matters when you are spending anywhere from ₹20,000 to ₹5,00,000 on products that affect your vehicle's performance, reliability and safety.
How We Source — The Supply Chain Matters
Many automotive accessory sellers buy through multiple layers of distributors and resellers. Others source products based primarily on price, while some operate without maintaining their own stock.
Swastik Fabs operates differently.
We are the direct importer in India for seven global brands: ARB, Old Man Emu, Bilstein, VARTA, VIAIR, OPTIMA and Hi-Lift.
These products enter India through our import channel. We manage the import process, customs clearance, quality verification and distribution ourselves. When you purchase these products from us, you are buying through the authorised import channel rather than through an unknown chain of resellers.
For the remaining brands we stock — BMC, Warn, Masterpull, K&N, Thule, Hella and Lamda — we operate as authorised dealers purchasing through official channels.
Our objective is straightforward: genuine products, traceable sourcing and proper documentation.
We have been importing and dealing in premium 4x4 accessories since 1994. That gives us more than three decades of experience in international supply chains, product sourcing, customs processes and relationships with established automotive brands.
Genuine Products — What That Actually Means
The word "genuine" appears on almost every automotive accessories listing. What matters is whether the product can actually be traced back to an authorised supply chain.
At Swastik Fabs, genuine means the product supplied is the product manufactured by the brand, sourced through an authorised channel and supported by the applicable manufacturer warranty.
Counterfeit and unauthorised products can exist in the automotive accessories market. They may look similar to the original product while being manufactured to different standards and specifications.
We do not knowingly stock counterfeit products or source products through unverified channels simply to achieve a lower price.
If a product cannot be sourced through a channel we can stand behind, we would rather not stock it.
Manufacturer Warranty — How the Process Works
Warranty is more useful when the purchase itself is properly documented and the seller has a genuine relationship with the manufacturer or authorised distribution channel.
Brands we directly import: ARB, Old Man Emu, Bilstein, VARTA, VIAIR, OPTIMA and Hi-Lift.
For these brands, applicable manufacturer warranty is supported through our direct importer relationship. If you experience a genuine product defect, contact us with your purchase invoice and product details. We can then assist with the applicable warranty process.
Brands where we are authorised dealers: BMC, Warn, Masterpull, K&N, Thule, Hella and Lamda.
These products are purchased through official channels and are subject to the applicable manufacturer warranty terms.
What you need to keep: Your Swastik Fabs invoice. Your invoice provides proof that the product was purchased through our authorised sales channel and may be required when processing a warranty claim.
We issue proper GST invoices for purchases rather than informal receipts or undocumented transactions.
What warranty generally does not cover: Physical damage caused by incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, misuse, accident, or use outside the manufacturer's specified application. Warranty terms can vary by product and manufacturer, and we will communicate the applicable conditions to you.
GST Invoicing — Proper Documentation on Every Purchase
Every purchase from Swastik Fabs is accompanied by a proper GST tax invoice.
For business customers, this provides legitimate purchase documentation for accounting and tax purposes.
For individual customers, it provides proof of purchase and can be important for warranty claims, servicing and future resale.
For everyone, it means your purchase is properly documented and traceable.
We believe premium automotive products should be sold with equally proper documentation.
Vehicle and Application Knowledge
Buying a winch, suspension kit, differential breather or auxiliary lighting is not the same as buying a generic accessory. The correct product can depend on your specific vehicle, model year, variant, intended use, terrain and existing modifications.
A winch that is incorrectly sized for the vehicle and intended application may not provide the recovery capability you require. A suspension kit needs to account for additional vehicle weight such as a bull bar, winch, roof rack or other accessories. Battery selection can also depend on the vehicle's electrical system and battery management requirements.
At Swastik Fabs, we do not believe in simply taking an order and sending a box.
We ask what you drive, what you have already fitted, what you are planning to install and how you intend to use the vehicle.
We have spent decades working with vehicles including Maruti Gypsy, Mahindra Thar, Suzuki Jimny, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and many others.
If you contact us about a winch for a Jimny, for example, the conversation can include the winch, mounting system, rope, compressor, bumper and the rest of the vehicle configuration rather than looking at the winch in isolation.
That is application knowledge rather than simply having inventory.
RFC Credentials — Experience in Extreme Off-Road Conditions
Our founder, Vijay Kumar, is a senior official associated with the Rainforest Challenge India (RFC), one of India's best-known extreme off-road competitions.
Extreme off-road competition places significant demands on vehicles, recovery equipment, suspension systems and other accessories. Products are exposed to conditions that can reveal weaknesses that may not be apparent during normal road use.
Vijay's involvement in the off-road community has provided decades of practical exposure to vehicles, equipment and recovery situations.

What We Don't Do
We do not try to stock every product or every brand available in the market.
We do not knowingly source products through unverified channels simply to achieve a lower price.
We do not recommend a product when we believe it is unsuitable for the customer's vehicle or intended application simply to make a sale.
We would rather tell a customer that a particular product is not suitable, unavailable or better sourced elsewhere than recommend something that does not meet the requirement.

Swastik Fabs was founded by Vijay Kumar on 13 May 1994 in Bangalore.
The business originally began as a fabrication workshop, working with aluminium and glass structures for commercial buildings. In 2013, the company transitioned its focus to 4x4 accessories as India's off-road community continued to grow.
That fabrication background remains relevant today.
Understanding materials, tolerances, fitment and structural integrity is particularly important when designing and manufacturing vehicle accessories such as bumpers, rock sliders, underbody protection and limb risers.
